Incoming women’s tennis player claims girls’ doubles title at Wimbledon

A Bruin was crowned doubles champion at arguably the most prestigious and historic tournament in the world of tennis. Rising UCLA women’s tennis freshman Abigail Forbes and her parter Savannah Broadus claimed the girls’ doubles title at Wimbledon – a Grand Slam tournament held annually during the summer at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London. Women’s tennis seniors crowned doubles champions of 2019 season

It was a fairytale ending for two of UCLA’s seniors. UCLA’s No. 3 seed senior duo of Gabby Andrews and Ayan Broomfield defeated Michigan’s unseeded Kate Fahey and Brienne Minor 5-7, 7-6 (6), 11-9 in the finals of the NCAA doubles championship to finish their collegiate tennis careers. Read more...

UCLA women’s tennis doubles team continues on to compete in NCAA semifinal

The Bruins may have been eliminated from team competition, but individual players are still squaring off in Orlando, Florida.
