Women’s water polo completes comeback over Cal to advance to MPSF final

UCLA women’s water polo had to overcome something on Saturday it hasn’t faced in two months – a deficit heading into the fourth quarter. With a little over five minutes left in the game and after losing a three-goal lead it had built up earlier in the game, freshman attacker Maddie Musselman netted her thid goal of the day to tie the game at eight. Women’s water polo prepares for MPSF championship as No. 1 seed

UCLA women’s water polo seizes scoring opportunities, defeats USC 11-7

Maddie Musselman didn’t miss until halfway through the third quarter. The freshman attacker had guarded the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation’s top scorer – Stephania Haralabidis – on defense, driven through an aggressive Trojan blockade on many of UCLA’s offensive possessions, battled to transition from one end to the other for more than 20 minutes of game time and she was still a perfect 4 for 4 before hitting the post on a Bruin power play.
