Bruin Democrats presents a rally in support for Proposition 47 which enforces the spending of state budgets toward education rather than incarceration. Congresswoman Karen Bass speaks on behalf of the Bruin Democrats to raise awareness on UCLA campus. The proposition aims to change low-level, nonviolent drug possession and petty theft crimes from felonies to misdemeanors to redirect the spending towards K-12 education and mental health treatment.
