ASUCLA Board of Directors recap – July 19

The ASUCLA Board of Directors held its first meeting of the 2024-2025 term virtually July 19. The board, which is composed of a student majority, has financial oversight over ASUCLA entities, including the Undergraduate Students Association Council, the Graduate Student Association and the ASUCLA Communications Board – which oversees UCLA Student Media. UC regents committee hold public comments session, vote on Health CEO bonuses

UC regents committee meets to discuss funding, alumni engagement

The UC Regents Public Engagement and Development Committee discussed government funding and alumni advocacy at their meeting Wednesday. During the meeting, the committee – which discusses fundraising and advocacy for the UC towards elected officials – announced funding received from Governor Gavin Newsom’s annual budget and heard presentations about funding for Black student centers.
