UCLA to host pre-doctoral workshop for minority students

The Luskin School of Public Affairs will co-host the 2014 Summer Pre-Doctoral Workshop for Students of Color for the second consecutive year. The Association of Collegiate Schools of Planning sent a call out last year for schools interested in hosting a workshop for pre-doctoral students in ethnically underrepresented groups who plan to enter the field of urban planning. UCLA admissions rate drops below 20 percent

UCLA’s admission rate for freshmen dropped below 20 percent for the first time this year amid growing numbers of applicants and increasing competition. UCLA accepted only 18.2 percent of its freshman applicants for the 2014-2015 year, or 15,760 of a total 86,521 students who applied. Read more...
