UCLA students change direction

If statistics are any sort of benchmark, most UCLA undergraduates are pleased with their college experience. Programs reach out to assist potential transfers

Last fall, UCLA received 15,245 applications from students hoping to transfer into the class of 2010. Many of those students were attracted through outreach efforts directed at them by the university. Each year, through programs such as the Transfer Alliance Program, the Student Transfer Outreach Mentorship Program and many others, the University makes a concerted effort to attract prospective transfers. Peace Corps participation increases

While most of his fellow graduating students entered the work force or transitioned into their respective graduate schools, UCLA alumnus Saman Kashani did something unconventional after graduating from UCLA. Kashani, feeling burnt out by school, moved to Suriname, South America. He lived there for a little more than two years in affiliation with the Peace Corps, where he assisted local physicians.
