LA County Department of Public Health monitors new ‘Arcturus’ COVID strain

Los Angeles County reported its first cases of the new Arcturus strain of COVID-19, which has been associated with rising COVID-19 cases in India. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention predict Arcturus, formally known as XBB.1.16, accounts for almost 10% of COVID-19 cases currently in the United States. Read more...

UCLA working group to focus on improving campus accessibility

Administrators announced April 4 that UCLA established a new working group intended to make the campus more physically accessible for individuals with disabilities. The working group will collaborate with a UC-wide advisory board to identify accessibility inequities, develop research-based improvement plans and monitor progress on existing initiatives, according to the announcement. UCLA graduate schools rank top 20 in the nation, tying with Stanford, Princeton
