USAC recap – Aug. 9

The Undergraduate Students Association Council discussed the importance of advocating for underrepresented student populations, such as undocumented and transfer students. The council appointed nine students to the Office Space Allocation Committee, the Campus Retention Committee, The Green Initiative Fund, the UCLA Committee on Disability and the Community Activities Committee. UCPD searches for suspect reportedly involved in off-campus hot prowl burglary

University police are looking for a suspect reportedly involved in an off-campus hot prowl burglary early Friday morning.  The incident occurred in an apartment at the 11000 block of Strathmore Drive around 4:05 a.m., according to a UCPD crime alert sent Friday.  The suspect reportedly touched a sleeping resident’s “intimate body part” and fled out of the apartment’s rear entrance, according to the crime alert.  UCPD described the suspect as a white man around 25 years old with brown hair, a short beard and mustache.
