Prestigious Goldwater Scholarship awarded to 2 UCLA students

Two UCLA students were named as this year’s recipients of a renowned scholarship in science, mathematics and engineering. Lauren Tan, a third-year chemistry student, and Thien Nguyen, a third-year molecular, cell and developmental biology transfer student, are UCLA’s recipients of the 2022 Goldwater Scholarship. Researchers study efficacy of digital flashcards among college students

UCLA-affiliated researchers conducted the first-ever large-scale survey that investigated the use of digital flashcards among college students. According to the study published April 7, digital flashcards have become increasingly popular over the past two decades, with one of the most well-known digital flashcard platforms, Quizlet, hosting more than 50 million active users per month.
