UCLA plans to offer triple capacity housing, some in-person courses in fall

USAC recap – May 11

The Undergraduate Students Association Council approved resolutions to abolish UCPD and to stand in support of Burmese students during the Myanmar military coup. Hundreds protest Israeli attacks on Palestinian territories at Wilshire Federal Building

This post was updated May 16 at 9:40 p.m. Hundreds gathered near the Wilshire Federal Building on Saturday in protest of Israeli attacks and forced evictions in Palestinian territories.  Protesters carried signs reading “Free Palestine” and shouted chants such as “Long live the intifada” as they marched down Westwood Boulevard toward the 405 Freeway and to Granville Avenue. University of California urges federal government to resume visa services

The University of California is advocating for the federal government to resume visa services for international students in anticipation of the upcoming academic year. The UC Office of the President urged the Department of State and Department of Homeland Security to resume visa services, expand the waiver for in-person interviews and grant online interviews for international students experiencing delayed visas, according to an April 30 letter signed by UC President Michael Drake and all 10 university chancellors.
