Former student dies in plane crash

A UCLA alumna was among the victims of last Thursday’s crash of a private jet in Aspen. Twenty-two-year-old Marissa K. Witham, a communications studies student who graduated last year, was killed along with 17 others after the Gulfstream III aircraft they were on crashed while on approach to Aspen-Pitkin County Airport.
