Charles Zachary “C.Z.” Wilson, UCLA’s former vice chancellor for academic affairs, died Nov. 21, 2024. He was 95. Wilson served as vice chancellor for academic affairs for 14 years and was the highest-ranking Black person to become a senior academic administrator at the University during his tenure. Read more...

The ASUCLA Board of Directors announced during its 10th meeting of the 2024-2025 academic year that CalFresh recipients can use their benefits at ASUCLA stores. The board, composed of a student majority, has financial oversight over ASUCLA entities, including the Undergraduate Students Association Council, the Graduate Student Association and the ASUCLA Communications Board – which oversees UCLA Student Media. Los Angeles Metro officials discussed preliminary costs and scheduling for the Sepulveda Transit Corridor Project at a May community meeting Thursday. The meeting, held at the Westwood United Methodist Church, included information stations about the different stages of the Sepulveda Transit Corridor Project – a plan to expand accessible public transit from the San Fernando Valley to West LA through the Sepulveda Pass – as well as a presentation and Q&A session with LA Metro.
