WWNC, NWWNC disagree about implementation of bike lanes on Westwood Boulevard

Westwood’s two rivaling neighborhood councils are at an impasse over whether or not bike lanes should be implemented on Westwood Boulevard. The North Westwood Neighborhood Council unanimously requested bike lanes be implemented on Westwood Boulevard and Gayley Avenue as part of the Los Angeles Metro’s First/Last Mile plan during the council’s December meeting. Study unveils new way to predict risk of death for stable heart failure patients

The findings of a UCLA-led study may allow for medical professionals to identify patients with stable heart failure who are at risk. UCLA cardiologist Olujimi Ajijola was the first author of a study that found a new way to detect which patients with “stable” heart failure have a higher risk of dying within one to three years.
