Health insurance insecurity, labor outsourcing among union’s concerns in strike

Anthropology guest lecturer accused by students of encouraging anti-Semitism
Students said they think a guest lecturer for an anthropology class promoted anti-Semitic ideas Tuesday. Rabab Abdulhadi, an Arab and Muslim ethnicities studies professor at San Francisco State University, delivered a guest lecture to roughly 100 students in Anthropology M144P: “Constructing Race,” which focuses on race and racism and is taught by Kyeyoung Park, an associate professor of anthropology and Asian American studies at UCLA. New UCLA association creates community for first-generation college students
Belen Bravo did not realize her experiences as a first-generation college student made her different from other students until her first year at UCLA. “I was on my floor last year and there was someone who said, ‘Yeah, I think my mom has like a Ph.D.’ My mom only went to middle school,” Bravo said.
