Some sabertooth cats had powerful skulls that allowed them to kill their prey in one or two bites, according to research published at UCLA. A UCLA professor, along with a team of international researchers, published a study in October that analyzed sabertooth cat skulls from two different species to determine how the cats killed their prey. Richard White, a fourth-year political science student and the Leaders Influencing Tomorrow presidential candidate in the 2018 Undergraduate Student Association Council elections, was confirmed by the council in a 10-2-1 vote after three hours of debate. University police are searching for a man involved in a series of indecent exposures from August to October. A man was seen masturbating in a vehicle after asking to speak with female pedestrians who were UCLA students on four separate occasions on Midvale Avenue between Strathmore Drive and Gayley Avenue, according to UCPD.
