UCLA, Duke study finds detailed journalism affects local infrastructure spending

A UCLA and Duke University study found that reading high-information local journalism is correlated with support for funding local infrastructure. The study, conducted by Megan Mullin – a professor of public policy at UCLA – and Andrew Trexler – a doctoral candidate at Duke University – illustrates how local news can contribute positively to the health of infrastructure, said Trexler. Bruin MimiQ Soong reflects on her role, journey to Miss Taiwanese American Queen

ASUCLA Board of Directors recap – Aug. 30

The ASUCLA Board of Directors held its second meeting of the 2024-2025 term Aug. 30. The board, which is composed of a student majority, has financial oversight over ASUCLA entities, including the Undergraduate Students Association Council, the Graduate Student Association and the ASUCLA Communications Board – which oversees UCLA Student Media.
