Westwood stakeholders call on Metro to compensate businesses for expansion impacts
Westwood stakeholders are pushing for the Los Angeles Metro to expand compensation funds for businesses impacted by a planned subway line expansion. The third section of the Purple Line Extension project will bring significant construction to Westwood’s segment of Wilshire Boulevard starting mid-2020. Read more...

Graduate student hopes to advocate for underrepresented while serving on NWWNC
Noreen Ahmed spent five years counseling unemployed young adults and those who dropped out of high school. She said she realized many didn’t have access to the resources they needed, and that the best way to help underprivileged communities would be through local government. Read more...
