The UCLA Bruins will take on the No. 7 Texas Longhorns this Saturday at 12:30 p.m. in Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium, pictured here. UCLA is coming off of a 31-13 victory over then-No. 23 Houston and faces its stiffest challenge of the season this weekend in Austin. The Longhorns were last year’s runners-up to the national championship, falling to Alabama in the title game.

Former left guard and current starting redshirt senior center Ryan Taylor, the only player from Texas on UCLA’s roster, will be headed back to his home state to take on the Longhorns in Austin this Saturday. Taylor hails from Denison, Texas, which is 270 miles north of the University of Texas.

Redshirt sophomore Johnathan Franklin is a key player in UCLA’s new pistol offense. Franklin started Saturday against Houston because of the injury to Derrick Coleman and rushed for 160 yards and three touchdowns, both career highs.
