Gymnastics takes home first place at NCAA regional meet

No. 5 UCLA gymnastics needed one more victory to get to St. Louis, the site of the 2017 National Collegiate Women’s Gymnastics Championships. Despite score-killing miscues on the balance beam to open the meet, the team navigated the tricky NCAA regional waters on Saturday, scoring a 196.800 and claiming a spot in national semifinals with a first-place finish. Distance, jumps teams shine at track and field home opener

Men’s volleyball takes down Cal Baptist in five sets

Twenty points into the fifth set and UCLA men’s volleyball finally went the distance. The No. 6 Bruins (17-7, 10-6 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation) defeated the Cal Baptist Lancers (7-19, 2-14) in a back-and-forth match by set scores of 25-23, 23-25, 25-15, 23-25 and 20-18. Read more...

UCLA men’s tennis sweeps UC Irvine 7-0 in final nonconference matchup
