UCLA becomes first school to receive over 100,000 freshman applications

More than 100,000 students applied to UCLA for fall 2017, making it the first American university to surpass that milestone, UCLA officials announced Monday. About 8 percent more California high school seniors applied, an increase from 58,900 to 63,500 students. Read more...

Ashe Center opens Bruin Health Pharmacy in Ackerman Union

Students can now fill their prescriptions at a new pharmacy in Ackerman Union. UCLA officials announced the opening of the Bruin Health Pharmacy on Monday. Power outage affects Westwood businesses, residents

More than 200 residents and businesses are without power after an outage in Westwood on Sunday night. Power went out at about 7:55 p.m., said a Los Angeles Department of Water and Power spokesperson. Read more...

Alum Norman Powell donates $5 million to support university librarian
