Students are mobilizing for and against a resolution that calls for divestment from companies that profit from the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories. The Undergraduate Students Association Council is set to vote Tuesday on the resolution, which asks for the University of California to divest from specific companies that the resolution claims are complicit in the human rights abuses of Palestinians. Video contest to tackle issues of mental health

The University of California is inviting students to participate in an ongoing video contest to tackle issues of suicide prevention and mental health stigma. The UC will partner with a video contest called Directing Change, which is organized and funded by the California Mental Health Services Authority’s Student Mental Health Initiative, said Jana Sczerputowski, a program leader for Directing Change.
