Gov. Jerry Brown vetoed a bill Sept. 30 which would have mandated access to abortion pills on public university campuses. Students can now use their own reusable bottles at takeout restaurants on the Hill. UCLA Dining Services launched a program this quarter encouraging students to use their own bottles instead of disposable cups. Read more...

The Los Angeles Metro received the federal funding needed to begin work on a new extension connecting Westwood to Century City. Electric scooter riders in Los Angeles will be able to have scooters delivered to their front doors. Electric scooter company Bird Rides, Inc. announced Thursday it plans to launch its new service Bird Delivery, which is designed to aid riders who want to make scooters a regular fixture of their daily travel.
