Village advocacy organization votes to support Westwood Forward

The Westwood Village Improvement Association voted to support Westwood Forward at a meeting Thursday. Westwood Forward, a coalition of business owners, students, renters and homeowners, is advocating to separate UCLA, Westwood Village and North Village from the current Westwood Neighborhood Council. All UCLA students to use multifactor authentication starting April 17

All students will be required to enroll in a security enhancement system for their UCLA internet applications by April 17. The security enhancement, called multifactor authentication, requires users to provide two methods of identification when logging into UCLA websites such as MyUCLA. Read more...

Blockchain technology co-founder discusses its potential applications

The co-founder of a blockchain-based network told students via video chat Wednesday that the network can change the way businesses and governments operate. Joseph Lubin, who helped found the blockchain technology Ethereum, talked about the potential applications of the technology to over 60 students at an event hosted by Blockchain at UCLA, a student group on campus.
