For the People slate aims to empower student groups by addressing inequity

Members of a new student-run political group said their coalition aims to use the undergraduate student government’s resources to address inequities among students on campus. Bruin Bike Share cruises beyond Westwood area in new joint program

Students can now rent a bike and drop it off at designated locations in Santa Monica, Beverly Hills and West Hollywood. The Bruin Bike Share program expanded its services Monday to connect with Santa Monica’s Breeze Bike Share program, the Beverly Hills Bike Share program and the WeHo Pedals Bike Share program. Professor dies at 74, remembered for curiosity, linguistic advances

Study shows rise in California children’s consumption of sugary drinks

More California children are drinking sugary beverages, according to a study released by the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research. Researchers in the center observed and compiled data on the nutrition of children aged 2 to 11 from the California Health Interview Survey from 2003 to 2014. Read more...

USAC election sanctions – April 20

This story was updated April 21 at 10:05 a.m. The undergraduate student government election board issued three sanctions Friday. The board sanctioned the Candidates Operating Clearly slate, Bella Martin, a Bruins United candidate running for general representative, and the For the People slate for violating social media guidelines.
