Trump’s proposed funding cuts have potential impact on student volunteers

A proposal to cut funding for national volunteer programs could affect recruitment of students for such programs at UCLA. President Donald Trump proposed allocating less funding for Corporation for National and Community Service, which provides funding for programs such as Americorps, Teach for America and City Year, according to The New York Times. UCLA Anderson to offer new business analytics program in fall

Student government launches text service for UCLA-related questions

UCLA research links head injuries to genes related to mental disorders

Head injuries could cause serious mental illnesses by changing genes in the brain, UCLA researchers found in a recent study. The study found that people who have serious head injuries may develop the same genes associated with the onset of Alzheimer’s disease, post-traumatic stress disorder, Parkinson’s disease and other mental disorders.
