More student input sought for undergraduate student advisor position
A University of California student leader said he would like to see more student input throughout the undergraduate student advisor selection process. The undergraduate student advisor, a position created by the UC Board of Regents in January 2016, does not have voting power, but makes recommendations to the board on issues that concern the student population and aims to give regents a more comprehensive student perspective on university issues. Cannabis research symposium to discuss recent field developments
UCLA will host a symposium on cannabis research as part of an attempt to establish a top cannabis research program on campus. The inaugural UCLA Cannabis Research Symposium, which will be held Thursday, will feature visiting speakers and UCLA faculty, who will discuss the most recent developments in cannabis research. Sanctions continue, 12 issued over two days of social media campaigning
The undergraduate student government election board issued 11 sanctions Monday night and one Tuesday night. The election board investigated a total of 17 complaints related to social media violations, and decided to issue sanctions for 12 of those complaints. Read more...

Technology center on the Hill announces lower printing prices
The Student Technology Center announced a reduction in printing prices Monday that will match Wepa kiosk prices. In an email sent to students Monday, the Student Technology Center said that prices for single-sided black and white printing and copying decreased by one cent per page. Read more...
